  • EGA Open Evening 2013

EGA opened its doors to prospective students and their families on Wednesday October 9th.  Our visitors were able to see classes and activities in action all over the school.  These included a poetry workshop, film making using a green screen, mathematics investigations, scientific experiments, volcano making and a languages spelling bee!  In addition, parents could sample delicacies in the French café, served by our French speaking students.  In PE, our girls demonstrated their trampolining and badminton skills and there were performances from our youth dance group. Students entertained our visitors with dramatic scenes in the drama studio, supported by our partners in the Almeida Theatre.  Students who attend our after school classes in Latin and Japanese showed off their linguistic skills too.  There were also classes to see in bread making, music recitals, singing by the choir and workshops in textiles, art and photography.  Our student council also shared their debating skills with visiting parents, whilst in business studies, our girls pitched their ideas to a ‘Dragon’s Den’ of entrepreneurs.

Parents had the opportunity to ask questions of our Headteacher, Ms Dibb, and to hear our students speak about their lives at EGA.  Our visitors were very positive about all that they saw and were most enthusiastic about the buildings and facilities available.
