  • EGA scale new heights for Air Ambulance charity

On Tuesday, nine lucky Year 9 students were given amazing access to the London Air Ambulance HQ at The Royal London Hospital Whitechapel. The trip was organised by Lorna at Hogan Lovells as a reward for the fundraising the girls had done for the Air Ambulance Service at a clothes-swap evening for Hogan Lovells employees, where they raised over £800. Girls were taken up to the 17th floor of the hospital and were allowed to walk around the helipad whilst hearing anecdotes about the important work the Air Ambulance does from Fire Officer John. It really was a spectacular view as you can see from the photographs. The girls were very brave and had no problems with the height, despite hearing some fire crew officers not being able to visit the site! Luckily it was all very safe. The girls were fantastic and asked some interesting questions about the service. Huge thanks to Lindsey at the Air Ambulance who helped organise the visit.
